0° – Initiate of the Earth (Neophyte of Gaia)
This degree is granted to lay members of the Astrum Temple in good standing, having completed the requirements of admission, and are over the age of 18. Candidates of the 0° focus their intentions on skills such as grounding, purification rites, and learning of the cosmos. Such practices include basic astrology, meditation techniques, lunar observations, and elemental work.
1° – Initiate of the Sun (Child of the Solar Logos)
Members are allowed to pursue this level of advancement after completing their first planetary cycle and attending a dedication ritual. Achieving 1° teaches the initiate illumination and divine selfhood; the dedication ritual is typically performed with a solar anointing at Midsummer, where the initiate embodies the inner flame.
2° – Initiate of the Moon (Acolyte of the Lunar Gate)
Members are allowed to pursue this level of advancement with the written recommendations of two current 2° (or higher) members of the Astrum Temple. This is the next step towards the art of reflection as one observes the cycles of change.
3° – Initiate of Mercury (Metaphysician of Hermes)
To be eligible for consideration into the 3°, initiates must have three letters of recommendation from members (3° or higher) to advance. At this level, initiates can pursue Holy Orders, Hermetic Orders, and positions of leadership within the Astrum Temple. More information regarding these roles can be found in the Path of the Initiate.
4° – Initiate of Mars (Prince of the Flame)
Advancement towards the 4° of membership within the Astrum Temple is conducted through invitation or petition. Those who have proved themselves worthy of their 3° are invited to advance their rank and achieve the Initiate of Mars title. Those bearing this title are eligible to organize their own Sanctum after taking Holy Orders or Hermetic Orders.
5° – Initiate of Venus (Mystic of the Morning Star)
Members of this degree are eligible to apply to leadership positions within the Alexandria Project. Initiates work to perfect self idealized harmony and developing a reverence for the sanctity of love and devotion.

After a year and a day, members of the 7° are voted to vacant seats on the Council of Luma; the governing body of the Astrum Temple. Members at this stage in their journey meditate on the darkness and silence, the cycles of death and rebirth, built on the disciplines of the eternal cosmos.
8° – Council of Luma (Luminary)
While not a degree of initiation in and of itself, members who have been voted to the Council are awarded the title of Luminary and appointed to the rank of Bishop. This rank of Office is governed by the Archbishop of Luma.
