Do You Walk With Us?

Welcome to the Ordo Templi Astrum. We are an order of seekers inspired by Hermetic traditions surrounding our solar system. Ever look up into the skies and marvel at the stars? Or wonder about your place in the universe? Like so many philosophies there are, they all offer answers. While we don’t claim to know ALL, we strive to understand as much as we can. Our greatest goal is to achieve gnosis in this life, to transcend the base reality of this world into the golden realization of transformation. While our tradition employs the usage of various religious and occult practices, we are first and foremost students of gnosis, and the truth can be found in every concept of God, in ALL, from which all things reside. We see ourselves on a journey to reach the stars, to be lifted beyond the limitations of this reality and into the arms of the Umbra Deus, the expansive from which the ALL makes manifest.

While we are part of an initiation system, it is not required for a person to participate in order to receive the teachings of our philosophy. Those who do feel the call towards initiation, it is a beautiful dance we participate with in accordance to the heavens. We align our movements with the rotation of planets, the Wandering Stars of the ancient world. We use initiation as a means to connect even deeper with our truth, in the hopes of reuniting with the Umbra Deus after our term here on Earth. Some ascend and some do not, and that is okay. We live in a constant cycle of mortality, not all are willing to step into the great unknown, the untrodden path, into the heart of the ALL. We are ready to receive the gifts of the universe when the time is right, when we’ve mastered our lessons here on Earth. Only then are we ready to seek beyond the boundaries of this mortal world.
